Staying Ahead of the Threats through Information Superiority and Real-Time Analysis

We go where they go. Our tactical analysts work side by side to support our customers, enabling them to process a wide variety of information collected in the field. This data provides our customers the intelligence support they need to stay a step ahead of adversaries’ decision-making process.

Intelligence support plays a critical role in protecting the warfighter from both known and unknown threats on the battlefield. One of the biggest threats to troops is improvised explosive devices (IEDs).

Our tactical analysts deployed with warfighters process, analyze and produce intelligence to aid soldiers on the ground. The intelligence could range from learning about three combatants building IEDs in their home to discovering a large IED distribution network.

Of course, for an analyst to quickly identify such battlefield threats, they must have a network capable of delivering real-time access to integrated database systems that contain a range of relevant data. With organized access to these systems, an analyst can quickly pull together multiple layers of intelligence, such as geospatial images, human intelligence and signals intelligence to discern if a pattern of activity will be a threat.

Intelligence support services from BAE Systems establish the data networks required to gather intelligence from multiple sources into integrated databases.

Additional Analysis, Targeting & Support capabilities include:

Intelligence Support

  • All Source Intelligence — Provides the full range of support across all skill sets in the intelligence field including: SIGINT, HUMINT, ELINT, IMINT, OSINT and MASINT. BAE Systems specializes in the fusion of multi-source data to support a variety of missions.
  • Counter IED— Processes, exploits and disseminates analytical products as well as indications and warning information required by military and law enforcement agencies to identify and defeat IED incidents and networks.  The C-IED analyst is the key component of the C-IED network.  Using reports, documents, images and videos gathered directly from multiple sources, the analyst provides a clear understanding of the enemy IED network and can direct or advise military and law enforcement elements on how to most effectively exploit the vulnerabilities of the IED network.  C-IED analytics builds the network to defeat the enemy network.
  • Full-Motion Video (FMV) — Assists the government workforce by posting analysts onsite at customer facilities to review imagery, full-motion video and geospatial data sources to support counterterrorism and counter-proliferation efforts.
  • Training — The Global Analysis Tradecraft Advancement Center (GTAC) is a program that trains government and private sector analysts on a broad range of analytical and operational tradecraft, some specific offerings include: full motion-video, wide-area persistent surveillance, collection management, sensor operations, cybersecurity, open source, counterintelligence and various regional topics.

Homeland Defense

  • Open Source Analysis — Collects, creates, analyzes and produces open source products and information from publicly available sources to provide intelligence support to security and law enforcement officials.
  • Threat Finance Analytical Support — Provides support to homeland security and civil service agencies to track down illicit finance suspects, and serves the intelligence community by providing intelligence gathering and packaging services.
  • Law Enforcement Intelligence Support — Integrates and disseminates information related to illicit terrorist travel, human smuggling and trafficking networks or other criminal networks for the intelligence and homeland security communities.
  • Critical Infrastructure (CI) Analytical Support — Offers consolidated technology support to aid homeland security and civil service agencies in preparing and preventing impact to critical U.S. infrastructure and resources from disasters.
  • Training, Surveillance Detection (SD) & Critical Infrastructure Services — Provides a team of highly trained and cleared  personnel capable of global deployments to conduct threat vulnerability assessments and mitigation, disaster response planning and coordination, HAZMAT and blast analysis, crime prevention audits, intrusion detection and personalized training courses.

Strategy and Gaming

  • Analytical Gaming — Enables customers to engage and solve their problems in innovative ways through the examination of strategic, operational and tactical level planning and decision-making considerations.  Services include end-to-end game development, execution, analysis and range from seminar style to touch-table enabled collaborative and networked environments.
    • Analytical Gaming in Action — The Gaming Team supported the U.S. Marine’s Nine Innings/ Joint Irregular Warfare 2011 Exercise in Quantico, Virginia, which is the culmination event for Marines graduating from the Marine Corps University’s Command and Staff College and an opportunity for the Marine Corps to examine emerging doctrine for Maritime Stability Operations. There were more than 250 participants, including students, retired diplomats, interagency and non-governmental organization representatives.
  • Social Science Research — Partners with academic and nonprofit institutions to conduct original research and provide doctorate level social scientists to support defense plans and operations.

Employee testimonials

"I was in the Marine Corps prior to joining the company where I trained on a system that BAE Systems developed and got to meet the engineers behind the system. A friend referred me when I was retiring. The company and I were a good fit for each other then and continue to be now. It has good learning and growth opportunities – I’ve been able to stretch, grow and expand through exposure to a full breadth of Systems Administrator and security-related tasks."
~Anthony, Senior Principal Systems Administrator
